Robert Joseph is an award-winning author of over 25 wine books. He lectures on wine marketing at various universities and faculties around the (wine) world from California to Burgundy. With his thought-provoking ideas and broad knowledge, he is a much respected speaker in the international wine industry. He is an editorial member of MEININGER'S WINE BUSINESS INTERNATIONAL and a board member of Mundus Vini. His latest book "The Future of Wine has changed" was presented at the 10th edition of the World Bulk Wine Exhibition 2019.

Julia Frings manages everything to do with projects - acquisition and contact with clients and service providers; preparing, conducting, evaluating and processing surveys; and developing content. Her main focus is on the topic of trading platforms, where she has developed in-depth expertise. And she led a large study on sustainable consumption in times of crisis.

 

Saskia de RothschildSaskia de Rothschild
Director, Domaines Barons de Rothschild

She comes from perhaps the most famous wine family in France. Since 2021, Saskia de Rothschild has been the sole director of the legendary Domaines Barons de Rothschild. Previously, she worked as a journalist. In addition to her master's degree in journalism at Columbia University, she also studied economics at the HEC in Paris and the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. In addition to French, she is fluent in English and Spanish.

Prof. Dr Marc Dreßler holds a professorship in Business Administration and Entrepreneurship at the Ludwigshafen University of Applied Sciences. He heads the master's programme Wine, Sustainability & Sales at Weincampus Neustadt and was previously the programme director for Viticulture & Enology. After a dual apprenticeship at a major bank and international business studies, he had gained worldwide experience in management consulting and worked as an entrepreneur before dedicating himself fully to research and teaching.  

 

Dr. Helena PonsteinDr. Helena Ponstein
Founder, KlimaneutralerWein.de

She is the author of the much-cited study that puts the share of the glass bottle in the CO2 footprint of a bottle of wine at about half. Dr Helena Ponstein has been working as an independent expert and consultant in the field of sustainability and climate protection for wineries since 2009. She is a graduate of Heilbronn University and Humboldt University in Berlin, where she completed a Master's degree in sustainable resource management. She then completed her doctorate there on the topic of "Avoiding greenhouse gas emissions from the global wine value chain" with case studies from Germany and Finland.

 

Prof. Dr. Simone LooseProf. Dr. Simone Loose
Head of the Institute for Wine and Beverage Management, Hochschule Geisenheim University

Since taking over as head of the institute in 2015, Simone Loose has established the Geisenheim wine industry as a top research address both nationally and internationally. Reliably mapping current market developments is one of her main research focuses. To this end, she and her team have developed the innovative Geisenheim Digital Sales Analysis, which collects and evaluates sales data from German wine producers across all sales channels in real time. Developing the economic sustainability of German wine producers in the Geisenheim business analysis is another important research focus.

 

Prof. Dr. Michael BerneckerProf. Dr. Michael Bernecker

As a keynote speaker and top speaker, Prof. Dr. Michael Bernecker offers competent impulse lectures on the topic of marketing & sales. He is known from numerous book publications, radio contributions and television appearances. At the University of Siegen, he first obtained a commercial diploma and then a successful doctorate. From 2007 to 2020, he was Professor of Marketing at the Fresenius University of Applied Sciences in Cologne.

 

Sara NorellSara Norell
Director of Assortment, Purchasing and Supply Chain at Systembolaget

She works for the Swedish alcohol monopoly Systembolaget, which has ambitious sustainability goals. She is also a board member of amfori, a global organisation that supports its 2,400 members in sustainable supply chains. Sara Norell started her career in the hotel and restaurant industry as a sommelier, restaurant manager and F&B manager. Before starting at Systembolaget, she worked in wine, spirits and beer import. 

 

Dr. Keith UlrichDr. Keith Ulrich
Chairman of the Board of Fair and Green e.V.

Fair and Green certifies sustainability in the wine industry. The chairman of the association's board, Dr Keith Ulrich, has extensive experience in the field of sustainability, energy efficiency and logistics. He is the operational managing director of Athenga GmbH, which he founded himself in 2013. Previously, he was head of "Research and Innovation Management" at Deutsche Post / DHL, where he developed GoGreen, the solution for climate-neutral transport, among other things.

 

Belinda JacksonBelinda Jackson
Marketing and Sales Manager, New Zealand Wine

Belinda joined Lawson's Dry Hills in 2014 and is Marketing and Sales Manager for this highly respected Marlborough wine producer. Her responsibilities include strategy and sales for the company's brand in both the domestic and export markets. A key focus is communicating the company's sustainability journey to inform consumers while encouraging other producers to follow suit. In addition to this role, Belinda is also involved with Appellation Marlborough Wine, an initiative launched in 2018 to respect and protect Marlborough wine.
