Tastingresults

The tasting of non-alcoholic wines took place for the second time as part of the MUNDUS VINI Spring Tasting 2023. A total of 188 wines were tasted and the best were awarded 14 gold and 61 silver medals.

The results are in for the 34th Grand International Wine Award MUNDUS VINI: the most successful wineries at this years competition are R&A Pfaffl (Best Producer Austria), DGB (South Africa),Vinaria Purcari (Moldova), Anecoop (Spain) as well as Fantini Group (Italy). The wines from those five wineries sum up to 163 awards in Silver, Gold and Grand Gold.

In 2023, Meininger's German Pinot Award entered its third round. Even more wines than in the two previous competitions, challenging vintages and a mix of established, up-and-coming and insider tip wineries guaranteed exciting tastings and lively, constructive discussions. We tasted our way through the competition and put the spotlight on Germany's best white Burgundy interpretations.

The first of three themed tasting panels at the Meininger's International Spirits Award heralded the start of the new tasting year: Wine and marc brandies, fruit brandies and fruit spirits, as well as liqueurs of all kinds were the focus of the January tasting. A total of 620 spirits were blind tasted and evaluated by the expert jury, of which 187 were awarded a medal - 14x Grand Gold, 170x Gold and 3x Silver.

Great joy in the Pfalz: at the award ceremony at the Forum Vini in Munich, the VDP winery Rings from Freinsheim was honoured with the "Red Wine Collection of the Year 2023".

Great success for German wines in Scandinavia / The Grand Wine Award for German wines in Scandinavia MUNDUS VINI NORDIC took place for the second time in 2023
