Presidents Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Voronin agreed yesterday on resumption of the supply of Moldovan wines to the Russian market. The announcement was made at the summit of CIS countries in Minsk on 28 November. The Russian president noted that all wine imports will be handled by regulated organizations that will monitor quality and prevent counterfeits.

Art Actuel, France s largest contemporary art magazine, has commissioned an exhibition, Liquid Gold , 11 eye-catching portraits by French photographer Bettina Rheims of top model Margarita Svegzdaite. The European Court of Justice (ECJ) has released its judgement on the excise duty payable on the import of alcohol and tobacco (and mineral oils, petrol) in cases where the transporting is not done by the person importing the goods.
