The end of the year is approaching. Time for WEINWIRTSCHAFT, as in recent years, to determine the most successful wines of the year. A recording in the hit list of the 100 wines of the year is a reward for the year-round great work. Only those who succeed in achieving equally good quality and a considerable volume of sales on the German market have an opportunity to hold their own among the 100 most successful wines of the year.
Three figures are particularly important:
• The sales volume in Germany in bottles (please use the field "Production quantity by bottle for this lot number" in the product pass)
• The recommended retail price (without which the price-quality ratio can not be determined), as well as
• The main distribution channel (FH, LEH, from cellar or dispatch). You will find a corresponding field in the product pass
The evaluation criteria:
As in previous years, the evaluation of the wines consists of the following four criteria. All four criteria are included in the evaluation, each with a quarter.
Criterion 1: The quality
Top priority is the quality of the product. This must prove every wine in mid-November in a concealed tasting (except champagne).
Criterion 2: The price-quality ratio
Criterion 3: Market significance
The 100 wines of the year have to be appropriately distributed. After all, we want to celebrate the 100 most successful wines of the German wine market. As in the previous year, we therefore decided that a minimum sales volume of 10,000 bottles in Germany in 2018 is needed (projected or estimated). The larger the volume, the better.
Criterion 4: Image, marketing, overall concept
We can not consider wines that are missing one of the following, as they are included in the assessment criteria: Recommended retail price; (estimated) sales volume in Germany in 2018.
Wineries / cooperatives / cellars can register 2 products each.
Importers can register 2 products per winery, but a maximum of 12 in total.
