Tasting results

For the third time this year, the grand Gin & Tonic Tasting took place at the ISW and once again numerous gins and three selected tonic waters competed for the coveted "Perfect Match" award.

The third and last tasting round of the year at Meininger's International Spirits Award at the end of June was dedicated to the major categories of whisk(e)y, rum and grain spirits such as vodka and Korn. Almost 550 products from all over the world were blind tasted and evaluated by the renowned jury of experts. The best 165 were awarded a Gold (149x) or a Grand Gold Medal (16x).

The second tasting round of the year at Meininger's International Spirits Award featured gin and juniper, aperitif and vermouth, non-alcoholic distillates, tequila and mezcal, as well as aquavit, absinthe and other spirits categories. Around 550 products in total were blind tasted and evaluated by the international jury of experts, of which 165 were awarded a medal - 2x Grand Gold, 85x Gold and 78x Silver.

The Grand International Wine Award took place for the 32nd time at the end of February. With a total of more than 7,500 wines tasted over a total of 6 days, the results once again offer an excellent overview of the current wine qualities and this in time for the world's leading trade fair ProWein in Düsseldorf, which takes place in mid-March.

For the first time, the tasting of non-alcoholic wines took place as part of the MUNDUS VINI Spring Tasting 2023. A total of 187 wines were tasted, and the best were awarded 21 gold and 54 silver medals.

At the now fourteenth edition of the Grand International Organic Wine Award, nearly 500 organic wines from 11 countries faced the international jury of experts in the competition in mid-January.

The January tasting of Meininger's International Spirits Award (ISW) rang in the new year with the categories of wine and pomace spirits, fruit brandies and fruit spirits, and liqueurs of all kinds. A total of 595 spirits were blind tasted by the expert jury, of which 178 were awarded a medal. 11 products received Grand Gold, 155 a gold and 12 a silver medal.
