Exceptional qualities at the 18th Grand International Wine Award MUNDUS VINI

A huge variety of different wines from 149 wine growing regions from all over the world were tasted and judged by an international jury of 160 wine experts at the MUNDUS VINI spring tasting 2016. The quality of the more than 5,000 wines are exceptional. In total 2,063 medals were given to the best wines by the international jury. 39 wines were awarded the highest medal, Grand Gold, 960 wines received a Gold medal for the quality and 1,064 wines were awarded a Silver meadl.

Most of the awards went to the big European wine growing contries. Italian wineries receive in total 500 medals for their wine qualities, followed by Spain with 470 medals and Portugal with 265 medals. German wine growers are awarded with 226 medals, 191 medals go to France.
