Brauhaus Faust defends title as "Craft Brewer of the Year national"
"Craft Brewer of the Year international" is Brauerei Schützengarten from Switzerland
For the ninth time, Meininger's International Craft Beer Award, one of the best-known beer competitions, took place in Neustadt an der Weinstraße in April 2022. Just over 30 award winners travelled to the festive awards ceremony for the beers of the year and the most successful breweries to receive their certificates in person.
Brauhaus Faust succeeded in defending its title of "Craft Brewer of the Year National" this year. With a total of two platinum, six gold and three silver medals as well as the special award "Märzen des Jahres 2022" for the Faust Osterbier, the brewery has the best national range in this year's competition.
The Schützengarten Brewery from Switzerland was awarded "Craft Brewer of the Year International" this year. They repeated their success from 2020 with a total of one platinum, three gold and six silver medals.
A total of 261 beer specialities were awarded for their great qualities this year. According to the regulations, only 25% of the beers tasted and judged in the competition may receive an award. This makes the beers that made it among the award-winning beers all the more special.
