Director of Tasting Christian Wolf: ‘Over the past ten years, MUNDUS VINI BIOFACH has established itself as the gold standard for rating certified organic wines. This year, we were once again impressed by the improved quality and variety in the selection of organic wines. Alongside organic wines from traditional origins and classic grape varieties, an especially positive development is being witnessed in terms of grape varieties cultivated especially for organic viticulture, which can better meet the plant protection challenges of organic cultivation.’

The Grand International Organic Wine Award MUNDUS VINI BIOFACH is a competition held by the Grand International Wine Award MUNDUS VINI and is open exclusively to certified organic wines from all over the world. It is carried out in association with BIOFACH in accordance with the international tasting scheme of the OIV. MUNDUS VINI was founded 18 years ago and is one of the most important wine competitions in the world.

The winners of the Grand International Organic Wine Award MUNDUS VINI BIOFACH 2019 will be announced at BIOFACH, the leading international trade fair for organic food (13–16.2.2019 at the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg). The awards ceremony was held on 14 February 2019 at the ‘Experience the World of Wine’ event at BIOFACH.
